Ethical hacking is also known as penetration testing, intrusion testing, or red teaming. An ethical hacker is a professional security expert who applies their skills for the defensive purposes on the behalf of the owner(s) of the information system or an organization


The ethical hackers are also known as white hat hackers because they are people who break into the system ethically and legally. According to the EC-Council, ethical is defined as “an individual who is usually employed with the organization and can be trusted to undertake an attempt to penetrate networks and information systems using the same methods and techniques which the normal hacker uses”.
